300 Ton Under-Roller

300 Ton Under Roller System w/ 28 ft. Reels

The 300 ton Under Roller System is configured to apply drive torque to four independently driven base mounted rollers. The rollers and their corner block support systems are interconnected at the side by a fabricated beam system and at the front and rear by twelve inch pipe spools. Each side beam has a provision for attachment of the Pull-Down System. Both front and rear pipe spools act as entrance guides for product as it is spooled on a reel, and act a conduit for hydraulic lines that cross the unit. Hydraulic cylinders are integral to the system to lift reels from their shipping cradles. The under roller system can be assembled around a reel and utilize the integral lift system to lift the reel, thus eliminating the need for heavy lift cranes.

Additional traction can be generated by the use of the Pull-Down System. This consists of a hydraulic cylinder attached to a sheave. By installing a choker cable onto the reel and into the sheave of the pull-down system, and pinning the pull-down cylinder to the side beam, an additional 300,000 pounds of downward force may be generated. This system also acts as a safety link to ensure that the reel is secure to the under roller during offshore operations.
