CAPABILITIES

  • CAROUSEL has capabilities of laying or retrieval with 10,000 pounds tension using the caterpillar.
  • Short lengths of one layer can be retrieved with a tension of 22,000 pounds using the CAROUSEL with the caterpillar disengaged.
  • CAROUSEL may pay out without using the caterpillar allowing it to be incorporated with a conventional lay reel and laid simultaneously from the same control booth.
  • CAROUSEL system includes two separate power packs for autonomous operations of CAROUSEL and caterpillar with detachable control panel, yet also provides a back up power supply.
  • CAROUSEL design allows complete operations to be performed on a variety of different vessels reducing the cost and adding flexibility.
