Course Description

MAE662: Design of Precision Actuation System

This course is designed for graduate students. In the beginning, design principles are introduced. Next, several structure design techniques such as kinematic design, flexture mechanism design, guide mechanism design, etc. are studied. Then, error analysis/compensation and uncertainty analysis are covered. In this course, every student proposes a term project and the result of the project is estimated by presentation at the end of the semester.
