This course is designed to introduce graduate students to the study of reaction mechanisms, the determination of relative configurations and the synthesis of optically active compounds. Topics include: fundamental comprehension of sterochemistry in organic chemistry, resolution, asymmetric synthesis, stereocontrolled organic reactions and new chiral auxilliaries.
