I came to KAIST with very little ambition and few plans, unlike other people. I was just doing my best in school, and became a KAIST student before knew it. In the same way, I was just looking around for a job that used my abilities and became a Times illustrator before I knew it. Of course, I don't mean to say that I go through life without thinking.

My life goals are very abstract, like painting. Painting is drawn emotionally by responding to the moment, not logically through x and y coordinates. I am pursuing my dream the same way I pursue painting. I must talk about my kindergarten period to explain this to you. I became hooked on the idea at age 5 when I saw my first video game. I eventually understood that games are not only for geeks to kill time. They are instinctive and ancient. I like all of them - table games, computer games, spin the bottle ... . :) As all games have their own histories and characteristics, and I find figuring them out extremely interesting.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could create a game and share it with people? Although it would be agonizing, the pain would be small compared to the reward I would get. Wouldn't it be wonderful if people could live their lives doing whatever they wanted? My dream is creating new games with fresh ideas. Since the game industry is very promising, due to the rapid advance of digital media, I think I can make it professionally someday. I'm like Che Guevara - a realist dreaming in his heart of impossibilities.
