I manage the finances of the KAIST Times as part of my duties on the Public Relations Team of the Office of Public and International Relations at KAIST.
I majored in Landscape Architecture at Yesan Agricultural College, graduating in 1983. I then went on to obtain a National Level 2 License for Landscape Architecture and began working in the gardening business. That didn't suit my interests very well, so I joined the KAIST Facilities Team on August 13, 1990, and then advanced to the Research Development Team at the Office of Research Affairs in 1992. In 1994 I moved to the Research Management Team, where I worked for ten years. In 2004 moved to the Public Relations Team.
My real interests have turned out to be clerical. On the Research Management Team I worked on research contracts and reports - for example, a manual on research activities, an annual collection of abstracts from research reports, and a booklet on overviews of research results. When I first moved to the Public Relations Team I worked on publishing a book on the KAIST Vision and planning and hosting KAIST Cultural Events. I now handle support for the press, conference organization, and all administrative support for the operation of the KAIST Times.
I got married in 1992 and now have one son and one daughter. I love gardening, photographing, and mountain climbing with my family.
