The current affairs show ¡°PD Diary¡±, which sparked a storm of controversy with its expose of flawed occyte procurement for Prof. Hwang Woo-sook¡¯s stem cell research, will air a second program on the cloning pioneer¡¯s research next Wednesday. The MBC program is planning to investigate the leading geneticist¡¯s overall achievements.

Meanwhile, all the show¡¯s commercial sponsors have pulled out under threat of a boycott from Hwang supporters.

The Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) said Monday that Calaway was the last of 12 advertisers to cancel a commercial due to air during this Tuesday¡¯s program.

Unless any new sponsors come forward by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, this week¡¯s ¡°PD Diary¡± will unprecedentedly air without commercials.
