All of the Ateneo HPAIR Union’s projects and activities through the year converge in the National Conference: the Ateneo HPAIR Union’s flagship project. The National Conference is a two-day conference, open to undergraduate students from all over the country. The conference combines lectures by eminent scholars and personalities, and paper presentations with pertinence to both the local and global scenario to be done by fellow undergraduate students. Open forums are facilitated by members of the Ateneo HPAIR Union to promote critical treatment of the ideas and issues encountered in the presentations. The National Conference concludes with a drafting of resolutions and action plans by the audience that aims to foster social initiatives, based on the exchanges of the Conference.
This year, the National conference may include other segments beyond lectures and student presentations, such as a 1-act play from Entablado or a documentary, all in line with this year’s theme of Redefining Filipino Nationalism amidst Globalization.
